Welcome to St. Gabriel School

We are a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of New York. Established in 1941, for more than 60 years we have given service to the Riverdale/Spuyten Duyvil community and to St. Gabriel Parish.

We admit children from all faiths but stress that our primary mission as a religious, parochial school, is to provide our students with a full educational program as well as prepare them for the reception of the sacraments of the Roman Catholic faith.

All of our children participate in a total academic life following the New York State curriculum, while we strive to integrate Catholic values and morality. After graduating from St. Gabriel School, our students further their education at Catholic, private, and specialized Science high schools throughout the Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester County.
